{ DIY } Home Decor

I like adding accents like ribbon to make basic decoration items stand out more. My mom gave me these beautiful glass hurricanes but I felt they needed a little something to help them tie in with my bookshelf decoration.

I bought some little white accent rocks from the Dollar Tree (and I'm getting another bag next time I go so I can add more!). They are adorable, a little sparkly and ONLY a $1!! Can't beat that. I added them to the bottom and then used my favorite striped ribbon from the Recollections line at Michael's.

All you need is some scissors and a glue gun. I cut the ribbon into strips that fit around the top of the hurricanes, with a little extra overlapping to put the glue. I wrapped them around, glued the ribbon, and voila! A little added character to an otherwise basic piece of decoration. And the best part is the ribbon is easily removed or changed for a different look.

Super easy & inexpensive! My favorite kind of DIY project.

{ Haul } Vitacost

I made an order from one of my favorite online stores, Vitacost, and it came in today!

If you haven't checked out Vitacost before you definitely should. They have everything from vitamins and food to natural cleaning and beauty products.. all at great prices. Plus you can click HERE to save $10 off your very first order.

Now, on to my haul.

1. Amazing Grass Organic Wheat Grass Powder -- 8.5 oz.
This is my first time trying wheat grass powder. I have heard so many things about it's amazing benefits and am excited to give it a try.

2. Simply Organic Turmeric -- 2.38 oz.
Great for cooking and it has excellent health benefits as well.

3. Chocolove Dark Chocolate Bar Almonds & Sea Salt
Don't get me started on the yumminess that are these candy bars! Rich dark chocolate, almonds and just a touch of saltiness. They are excellent!

4. Vitacost Synergy Once Daily Multi-Vitamin -- 60 Capsules
I needed a new multi-vitamin and this one was on sale and had good reviews!

5. Vitacost Certified Organic Hemp Seed Shelled & Raw -- 13 oz.
Again, I have heard great things about the health benefits of hemp seeds and wanted to give them a try. I can't wait to try them in smoothies or sprinkled on a little fruit and yogurt.

6. Aura Cacia 100% Pure Essential Oil Lavender -- 0.5 fl oz.
My first time venturing into the world of essential oils. Lavender is supposed to be calming and as a mommy of a wild (almost) 3 year old, anything "calming" sounds pretty amazing!

7. Jason Vitamin E Pure Natural Skin Oil -- 5000 IU - 4 fl oz.
This is great on it's own or added to a body lotion. It has a nice subtle scent and makes your skin look amazing! I love using it on my nails.

8. Seventh Generation Natural Laundry Detergent Free and Clear -- 50 fl oz.
I am on the hunt for a good natural detergent and decided to give this one a try! I have heard amazing things about Seventh Generation products.

I love ordering from Vitacost and plan on making a post about my favorite things to order from there. You get free shipping when you spend $49 and it is super fast. Their customer service is also fantastic!

{ Planner Love } New Goodies!

When the hubby and I went grocery shopping yesterday I, of course, had to check out the scrapbooking and stationary sections. I picked up these adorable little panda stickers at the Dollar Tree and these page flags on clearance at Wal-Mart!!

And now for the really good stuff... how precious are these stickers from the amazing Vintage Gypsy Road

I won these stickers on her facebook page and I am in love! The quality, the style, the uniqueness.. they are so fabulous. I can't wait to place my first order and post a haul. I already have my Etsy cart full, just waiting until I have a little extra cash!

I am absolutely loving these stickers I received today from Pookie Bear Cuties. They have so many adorable designs and the price point is great. I bought all of these during an amazing sale so it was even better! I was so excited when I opened the package. The stickers are even prettier in person.. the colors are super vibrant and the quality is amazing! My daughter loved the sweet little panda too. { Planner Love } EC Weekly Layout & New Cover!

My planner layout for this week. I'm sure everyone is familiar with these amazing planners, but if not, it is the life planner from Erin Condren!

I am terrible about tracking my water intake.. I promise I DO drink water! haha. I get most of my stickers on Etsy. It's dangerous, I could spend all day shopping on there!

Stickers used in this layout are from the following shop :

I had great experiences with all of these shops and highly recommend them.

And now, my new cover that I am in love with. It is from Ashbrooke Designs and I can't wait to order more. The owner is so sweet.. I was able to customize the colors to match the exact look I was going for. There are so many options to choose from, great prices, great quality, and fast shipping! If you are looking for extra covers for your planner you have to check her out!!

{ DIY } Spring Tulip Wreath

I needed a new spring wreath and wanted to get crafty and try to make my own! I looked on Pinterest and fell in love with tulip wreaths. I took my inspiration from this gorgeous wreath on Life Love Larson but as I started adding flowers I decided I liked a little bit of the grapevine showing.

I bought 3 bunches of tulips at Michael's (on sale!!) and used a wreath I already had. The total cost for this project was $10.50! I even had a few tulips left over to make a little arrangement for my built-ins!

Happy Spring!
